Prabhas-starrer 'Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire' opened with a thunderous number. It is inching closer to the Rs 400 crore club in India. Also, the Prasanth Neel directorial has become one of the highest grossers of 2023. 'Salaar' set in the fictional city-state of Khansaar, hit the theatres last on December 22, 2023, in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. It also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jagapathi Babu, Sriya Reddy and Saran Shakthi in key roles. On Day 15, 'Salaar' entered the third week and earned Rs 3.50 crore as per early estimates, as reported by Sacnilk. 

The total box office collection of 'Salaar' stands at Rs 381.60 crore in India. It is now all set to enter the Rs 400 crore club. On its third Friday, it had an overall 16.43% Telugu occupancy, 16.10% Malayalam occupancy, 14.60% Tamil occupancy, 4.86% Kannada occupancy and 13.76% Hindi occupancy in theatres.

Talking about the worldwide box office collection of 'Salaar', it is marching towards Rs 675 cr gross mark. 

According to trade expert, Manobala Vijayabalan the Prabhas starrer has beaten 'Baahubali' and 'Jailer's lifetime figure of Rs 650 crore to become the 5th highest grossing film from South after '2.0', 'KGF Chapter 2', 'RRR' and 'Baahubali 2'. 

Recently, while talking about 'Salaar 2', Prabhas said, "The story is already ready, and we are going to start very soon, aiming to deliver the film as soon as possible for the audiences. I am aware that many of my fans are eagerly waiting for its release. We will soon unveil the details of Salaar Part 2."

He added, "My only goal is to entertain maximum people around the world with my work. That's the primary idea behind the films I choose. The next film is going to be a futuristic one. Salaar is a rugged mass film, and the next project is a horror film. I want to explore different genres so that the audience is entertained, and I hope that they shower as much love on my future films as they have done on Salaar."
