After finishing second in each of the first three stages, Wout van Aert won Stage 4 (Dunkirk to Calais, 171.5 km) eight seconds ahead of the peloton. The Jumbo-Visma rider from Belgium made a brave solo break and made up for the disappointment of the three narrow misses in Denmark. Compatriot Yves Lampaert of Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team is second while Slovenian Tadej Pogacar of UAE Team Emirates is third. Stage 5, also a Hilly stage, will cover a distance of 157 km from Lille to Arenberg Porte du Hainault.
