Among those released by the Royals, the one name that stands out is that of Englishman Joe Root. Root ruled himself out of the upcoming tournament, leading RR to follow suit. Royals have also let go of Jason Holder and Obed McCoy and will go into December 2023's mini auction with a purse of just 14.5 crores.
