Delhi Capitals became the first team to be knocked out of the Indian Premier League 2023 after Prabhsimran Singh's hundered and Harpreet Brar's 4-fer in New Delhi on Saturday. Prabhsimran put on a show with the bat, as he constantly ran out of partners with his team reeling at 45-3 at one point. He, then, stitched a 72-run partnership with Sam Curran (20 off 24 balls) while scoring the bulk of the runs. Defending 167, PBKS struggled to get early wickets with DC reaching 65-0 runs off the first six overs. However, when the wickets started to tumble, DC began floundering good run-scoring opportunities, as they ended the innings at 136-8. Harpreet Brar registered figures of 4-0-30-4. Punjab will again face Delhi at Dharamsala on Wednesday.
