Australian women displayed a fighting comeback in the second T20I after being beaten by 9 wickets in the first match of the series. Kim Garth, the only change in the playing XI dismissed both the Indian openers to put Women In Blue on the back foot. With the help of Deepti Sharma and Richa Ghosh's crucial innings, India posted a respectable total of 130 runs.

In response, guided by Ellyse Perry's unbeaten 34 runs in just 21 balls and Phoebe Litchfield's (18 runs in 12 balls) cameo, Australia won the match easily by six wickets. In the first match, India chased down the 142-run target with 9 wickets and 14 balls remaining.
The third match will also conclude the Australia women's tour of India, where India won the one-off Test match first. Then Australia clean-sweep the ODI series 3-0. Now, the winner of Tuesday's match will clinch the coveted T20I series.
