Approaching Milestones

- Rohit Sharma will become the fifth captain to lead India against Pakistan in the World Cup while Babar Azam will become the eighth captain to lead Pakistan against India in the World Cup. 

- KL Rahul will become the fifth wicketkeeper to don the gloves for India against Pakistan, while Mohammad Rizwan will become the fifth wicketkeeper to don the gloves for Pakistan against India. 

- Virat Kohli has an aggregate of 1170 runs in the World Cup.  He needs 30 more runs for his 1200 runs. If he gets them, he will become the second Indian batter to total 1200 runs in the World Cup after Sachin Tendulkar, who has an aggregate of 2278 runs.

- If India win this game with Virat Kohli’s century, Virat would become the first batter to score 40 centuries in a team’s wins in ODIs.

- Rohit Sharma has an aggregate of 972 runs as an opening batter in India’s winning matches in the World Cup. He needs 28 more runs for his 1000 runs in winning World Cup matches. If he gets these runs and India wins the game, he would become the third opening batter to score 1000 runs in winning World Cup matches. The others are – Sachin Tendulkar (1160) and Adam Gilchrist (1051)
