2023 Asian Games, Football: India Lose To China 1-5

Indian Men's Football team led by Sunil Chhetri never looked settled throughout the match against China in their Asian Games starter as they lost 5-1 on Tuesday. Chinese players never gave any chance to the opposition and scored a quick goal in the 16th minute putting pressure on the guest team. The Indian team somehow managed a goal right before halftime thanks to Rahul KP. But other than that, it was a poor performance by the inexperienced Indian team as they lost 5-1 to the hosts. Indian players did not play up to the mark and were unable to put the opposition under pressure.
