United Arab Emirates (UAE) faced a crushing defeat at the hands of Scotland in match 66 of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup League Two 2023-27, to be played at the SV Kampong CC, Kampong, Utrecht on Wednesday, May 14.
Earlier, UAE had won the toss and opted to bat first but that decision did not turn out to be a good one for them.

Scotland's new ball bowling pair of Brad Currie and Brandon McMullen wreaked havoc with three wickets each and that led to UAE batting not getting a big total on the board. Only Muhammad Waseem, who batted at number six, could stay for long as his 61 was the only big score in UAE's innings. Thanks to Scotland's brilliant bowling, UAE could only get to 161 before being bowled out in the 48th over.
Scotland top order then made light work of the chase and crossed the target with eight wickets in hand. Opener George Munsy scored a half-century while McMullen also starred with the bat with an unbeaten fifty. Scots just took 24 overs to win the game.
