Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra Listens To PM's 'Mann Ki Baat' Radio Address With Prominent People From Various Fields

Kalraj Mishra added that "Mann ki Baat" not only informs people about the country's progress, but also talks about the lives of those who are doing something unique and important for the society.

Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra, along with several intellectuals and prominent personalities from various fields, listened to a live broadcast of the 100th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Mann ki Baat" radio address at the Raj Bhavan here on Sunday.

Mishra addressed the gathering after the prime minister's programme. 

"Mann ki Baat is a historic and unique initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi through which he directly communicates with the citizens. The programme motivates people to actively contribute in nation building and that is its success story and significance," the governor said. He said Modi has talked about several subjects in "Mann ki Baat".

"Through this programme, he called for cleanliness, vocal for local and the adoption of Khadi. The programme has also played an important role in creating awareness among youngsters, spreading the culture of yoga and raising awareness on environmental protection," the governor said.

He added that "Mann ki Baat" not only informs people about the country's progress, but also talks about the lives of those who are doing something unique and important for the society.

Paralympians Devendra Jhajharia and Avni Lekhara, environmentalist Laxman Singh and singer Ravindra Upadhyay were also present on the occasion, among others.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had made similar arrangements at its office here. The leaders of the saffron party had also made arrangements at different places for people to listen to Modi's radio address.
