A massive fire was reported at Azadpur Mandi in Delhi on Friday evening. At least 11 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. The fire has been brought under control and cooling process is underway. No casualties have been reported so far.
Azadpuri Mandi is Asia’s largest wholesale vegetable market in terms of volume. A call was received at 5.20 pm about the blaze and 11 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. The fire was brought under control by 6.30 pm, the officials said.
On Wednesday, a fire broke out at a Paying Guest (PG) facility for women in Mukherjee Nagar, although no casualties were reported.
