In Jammu and Kashmir the BJP has gone all out against the Congress leader Digvijay Singh for raising questions about the surgical strike saying the Congress leader is speaking Pakistan’s and ISI’s language.  The BJP asked Congress to take disciplinary action against Digvijay Singh and urged Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir “to take strong note” of Singh’s statement.

BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh said, “Congress leader Digvijay Singhs’ remarks against the surgical strikes is nothing but Congress’s habit of speaking Pakistan’s and ISI’s language in J&K in their effort to demoralise Indian security forces.”

Chugh said the Congress high command should take disciplinary action against Digvijay Singh. The party asked Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir “to take strong note of the former Madhya Pradesh chief minister for his anti-national speech.”

“Congress leaders have been always trying to demoralize the armed forces of the country whenever they rose to fight anti-national elements. The surgical strike was a spectacular achievement of the armed forces which for the first time proved that India could be aggressive in fighting the ISI-sponsored terrorism,” Chugh said.

“Instead of saluting the jawans who carried out the strike, the Congress cannot help adopting an anti-national stance to discourage the armed forces,” Chug said.

Chugh said if Congress party did not agree with Digvijay's statement then he should be immediately expelled from the party for his anti-national remarks.

BJP J&K president Ravinder Raina sought an apology from Rahul Gandhi over remarks made by the senior Congress leader.

"The bravehearts of the Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police, paramilitary forces, Air Force, Indian Navy have sacrificed their lives for the nation. They have given a befitting reply to the enemy forces, " Raina said.

"Whereas the whole nation salutes these soldiers, the Congress leader has chosen to insult them. Congress leaders ask for proof when the whole world stands witness to the Indian Air Force’s strength. But Congress has always chosen to insult India at every platform which will not be tolerated at any cost ", Raina said.

"Congress has always sided with the terrorists and separatists betraying India," Raina said.

BJP spokesman Sunil Sethi said an anti-national stand of Congress stood exposed by the statement of its leader Digvijay Singh.

“Congress leadership in the last leg of Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir with intention to win sympathy of separatists and anti-India forces for political gains as Congress wants a message to go in the valley that it stands against armed forces and are taking sides with anti-national and separatist elements,” he added.
