The National Disaster Response Force managed to rescue 10 people from a reservoir at the Kol Dam Hydel Project in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh after an overnight operation. The ten rescued included five officials of the Forest Department.
After heavy rains in the past days, a lot of logs had fallen into the reservoir and five workers as well as some local people went there to assess the situation.
But their boat got trapped due to heavy silt and logs near Tattapani, reportedly.
