A former BJP corporator along with his wife was found dead in their Madhya Pradesh residence. The couple died of suicide after allegedly killing their two kids who suffered from muscular dystrophy, in MP's Vidisha district on Thursday evening, police said.
The police said that the couple was highly stressed regarding the medical health condition of their kids. The deceased were identified as Sanjeev Mishra (45), Mishra's wife Neelam (42), and sons Anmol (13), and Sarthak (7).
News agency ANI reported on January 26 that a man, Sanjeev Mishra, died suicide along with his wife & two children in Vidisha. He posted a suicide note on social media mentioning he couldn't save his children suffering from a genetic disease, treatment for which isn't available. All four dead confirmed Vidisha DM.

"May God spare even enemy's children from this disease... I am not able to save the children, I do not want to live anymore", a tweet by Mishra read as per an NDTV report. The police have registered a case at the Civil Lines Police Station, Vidisha.
The Police broke into the locked house after reaching the spot and rushed all four family members to the hospital. However, none of them survived and died during treatment.
Muscular Dystrophy(MD) is a genetic health condition caused due to mutations in the genes. MD is an inherited, incurable group of diseases that leads to progressive weakness and loss of muscle mass. Patients suffering from the disease often experience chronic pain due to their condition on an everyday basis.
