As a looming storm threat casts a shadow over the weekend, several Christmas festivities in Mobile and Baldwin counties are being rescheduled to ensure the safety and enjoyment of attendees.

In Mobile, the highly anticipated Roll Mobile Holiday edition, initially set for December 1, will now take place on December 8, coinciding with the LoDa Artwalk.

In light of the storm threat, charges for area Christmas parades have also undergone adjustments.

In Baldwin County, the city of Daphne is closely monitoring the weather forecast before making a final decision on its Christmas parade scheduled for 11 am on December 2 on Main Street. The city assured residents that a decision would be reached no later than December 1.

Conversely, the town of Elberta has decided to reschedule its Christmas parade to December 8 at 6:30 pm.

Citronelle has moved its Christmas parade and Breakfast with Santa to 10 am on December 9. Meanwhile, McIntosh has adjusted its Christmas parade to 6 pm on December 7, with the tree lighting ceremony scheduled for December 16.

In Bayou La Batre, the Christmas parade and tree lighting have been postponed, and a new date and time have yet to be announced. Officials assure residents that updates will be posted on the city's Facebook page.

Recently, the City of Greenville also announced that the annual Poinsettia Christmas Parade is being moved back a week due to inclement weather. The parade, initially scheduled for this Saturday, will now take place at 6 pm on December 9.

However, despite the possibility of rainy weather, the city of Prichard in Mobile County is currently planning to proceed with its annual Christmas parade on December 2 at 11 am.

The parade will commence at Interstate 65 Service Road and Bessemer Avenue, following a route to Clark Avenue before concluding at the old Alabama Power location.
