Elon Musk Launches New 'America Party', Says Will Give Back Freedom To Americans

Last month, Musk had called the tax bill a “disgusting abomination,” on X, adding that it would “massively increase the already gigantic budget deficit” and that “Congress is making America bankrupt.”

A day after the U.S. President Donald Trump signed the ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ into law, billionaire Elon Musk declared on X that he will form a new political party.

The two had been closely associated during Trump’s presidential campaign but fell out in recent months over disagreements about the tax-cut and spending bill.

In a series of posts on X, Musk first conducted a poll on July 4 — America’s Independence Day. He posed the question whether the two-party system in the United States, which he remarked “some would say uniparty”, should be brought to an end.

Responding to his own post after 65.4% voting in favour, he posted “By a factor of 2 to 1, you want a new political party and you shall have it!"

Musk — the world’s richest person said — when it comes to bankrupting the country with waste and graft, “we live in a one-party system, not a democracy.”

The entrepreneur added that the America Party was formed to give back the freedom to Americans.

He also posted he will be cracking the uniparty system by using a variant of how Epaminondas shattered the myth of Spartan invincibility at Leuctra, “extremely concentrated force at a precise location on the battlefield.”

Last month, Musk had called the tax bill a “disgusting abomination,” on X, adding that it would “massively increase the already gigantic budget deficit” and that “Congress is making America bankrupt.”

The billionaire-President duo had a spat over social media platforms, with Musk claiming that Trump was in the Epstein files, an allegation he later retracted. “I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They went too far."

Musk had also helped slash U.S.’ government programs and funding by leading the Department of Government Efficiency before publicly feuding with Trump over the latter’s domestic policy bill.

It still remains unclear whether Musk filed paperwork for the new party. Any newly formed entity would need to be disclosed to the Federal Election Commission.
