Zeishan Quadri dons multiple hats-a writer, actor, director and also a producer. Coming from a highly-educated family, Quadri landed in Mumbai to pursue acting but he ended up writing the screenplay for Anurag Kashyap's 'Gangs Of Wasseypur'. However, he also acted in 'Gangs of Wasseypur - Part 2' apart from writing. Zeishan credits Kashyap for teaching him about films. He considers the filmmaker his mentor. In an interview with Outlook, Zeishan opened up about his bond with Anurag Kashyap and also revealed whether 'Gangs Of Wasseypur 3' is happening or not.
Zeishan was all praise for the 'Kennedy' director as he said, "I respect him a lot. Words will fall short to describe his knowledge and all. He is like a father figure to me and till now I have that kind of relationship with him. When he doesn't receive my calls I get upset. He taught me a lot about films. Since the first meeting with him, I have shared a great bond with him."
Asked him about the update of 'Gangs Of Wasseypur 3', the 'Bloody Daddy' actor revealed, "We spoke about making 'Gangs of Wasseypur 3'. During lockdown also, we sat and spoke about it and when things didn't work out, he got upset. It has been halted as of now. He is the one who will take the call again. Maybe he will direct or maybe I or maybe he will only produce. So, right now, I can't say anything about it."
He added, "People compare 'Gangs of Wasseypur' to 'The Godfather'. If the third part comes, then the result won't be like the original one. It will be much better than that."
