The trailer of Prasanth Varma’s upcoming movie, ‘HanuMan’, was released on social media today. Starring Teja Sajja, the trailer promises a ride into a fantasy world of superheroes. This film marks Varma’s venture into setting up his own cinematic universe.

The trailer opens with an underwater sequence with the words, “Inspired from the itihasas of Akhand Bharat” in the first visual. As Teja swims in the water, he comes close to a glowing structure. It is to be believed that this helped him gain superpowers. The panning visuals take us through breathtaking views of the mountains and water bodies of Anjandri. With these superpowers in his arsenal, Teja’s character can run faster than a cheetah and even lift a boulder.

The trailer cuts to a masked antagonist who is creating chaos in the city. He has a power suit, but he is hungry for more. He wants the powers to run through his veins. He visits Anjanadri in search of strength and destroys the city. However, the main lead pulls out all the stops to save the city.

“When darkness eclipses Dharma, the ancients shall rise again,” reads another visual from the trailer. The story follows an ordinary guy’s quest to come to terms with his superpowers and leverage them for the greater good. The trailer has used CGI to build a fictional world that looks straight out of mythology.

Along with Teja Sajja, ‘HanuMan’ also features Amritha Aiyer, Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar, and Vinay Rai in prominent roles. The film has been produced by Niranjan Reddy and is scheduled to release on January 12, 2024. It will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, English, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese. Prasanth Varma is eyeing for a worldwide release of ‘HanuMan.’
