Actor Sunny Deol had a great 2023 as his movie 'Gadar 2' was a blockbuster. It broke several records at the box office. Following the success of the movie, Aamir Khan announced his collaboration with Sunny Deol in ‘Lahore 1947’. The period drama will be co-produced by Aamir Khan Productions and will be directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. As per reports, Preity Zinta is likely to make her comeback in Hindi films with 'Lahore 1947'.
On Wednesday, January 24, Preity was spotted exiting a studio in Mumbai where she went for a look test. A source told India Today that she gave her look test for ‘Lahore 1947’ and is most likely to star opposite Sunny Deol.

For the unversed, Preity and Sunny had earlier worked in films like ‘Hero: Love Story of a Spy’, ‘Farz’, and 'Dillagi' among others.
Earlier, a source told Pinkvilla that the shooting of the film will commence in February. “Lahore: 1947 is a partition drama by Rajkumar Santoshi with Sunny Deol in the lead. The film goes on floors on February 12, 2024. The set work has already begun in Mumbai to recreate the era gone by. Multiple big sets to recreate India around the partition era are being put up,'' the source informed the portal.
During his appearance on 'Koffee With Karan 8', Sunny was asked about the collaboration. To this, the actor said, "When Aamir Khan came to the success party of 'Gadar 2', he came to me and said that he wanted to meet me. I surprisingly asked myself what it was all about, and the next day we met, we discussed some ideas and possibilities for cooperation, and after the conclusion, we came to this project, and that's how it happened."

'Lahore, 1947’ marks the reunion of Aamir Khan and Santoshi after 'Andaz Apna Apna'. Santoshi had earlier worked with Sunny in blockbusters like ‘Ghayal,’ ‘Damini,’ and ‘Ghatak’.
