Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar Ali was found dead in her apartment in Karachi’s Ittehad Commercial, Phase VI on Tuesday, July 8, as per reports. She was 32.

Humaira's body was recovered by police in a decomposed state. As per a report in Geo News, a foul smell emanating from Humaira's apartment prompted the neighbours to call the police. They also hadn't seen the actress for a long time.
As per a report in Dawn, the police reached Humaira's apartment around 3.15 pm. When they didn't receive any response, they broke the locked door. Inside, they found Humaira's body.
The body has been sent to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for further medical examination and legal procedures.
SSP-South Mahzoor Ali told Dawn that Humaira was not paying rent since 2024 and there was a court order by the owner to vacate the apartment.
Area police chief Syed Asad Raza said, "It appeared that the body was several days old."
Dr Summaiya Syed, a police surgeon, also told the portal that Humaira died days earlier, and the body was in the advanced stage of decomposition. It is said that she died nearly two weeks before.
There are no immediate signs of foul play, according to police, and the apartment’s iron gate, wooden door, and balcony were locked from the inside. The cause of Humaira's death will be determined by the postmortem report.
Humaira lived alone in the rented apartment. Police are trying to contact her family from her phone records.
Humaira's death reminds us of another Pakistani actress, Ayesha Khan, who was found dead in June, this year, in her Karachi apartment in Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
Humaira Asghar had earlier participated in ARY’s reality show Tamasha Ghar and also starred in 2015 film Jalaibee.
