Actor Nitish Bhardwaj, popular for playing the role of Krishna in the hit 1998 television show ‘Mahabharat’, has spoken up about the impact of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal.’ He revealed that he had gone to watch the film, but the success of films like these shows a worrying trend.

In a recent conversation with ETimes, Nitish Bhardwaj talked about the growing trend of violent films that are being produced. Taking the example of ‘Animal’, the actor said he could not take the violent content of the film despite being a Ranbir Kapoor fan. He also said that when films like ‘Animal’ become successful, it is a sign of worry.

The actor said, “Action can be in Veer Rasa too, but the film is an expression of Bibhastsa Rasa. In action as well as dialogues and behaviour. I would be worried if more such films are made, and they are successful. I could not sit beyond the interval, in spite of being an ardent fan of Ranbir's acting prowess.”

Nitish Bhardwaj has also played the role of Rama in B.R Chopra’s ‘Ramayana.’
