Kanak Rele : Danseuse

While her research in body kinetics provides an exclusive phonetic system forMohiniattam, Rele initiated a full-fledged Fine Arts Department in the University ofMumbai, the first of its kind in the country. Her academy has developed a holistic courseincluding iconography, sculpture, history and Sanskrit. Invaluable archival material hasbeen collected.
