Actor Sunny Deol has returned to the big screen with Jaat, after his successful 2023 film, Gadar 2, which broke several records. Sunny had already set the bar high with Gadar 2 box office collections, which made a massive Rs 40 crore debut. But Jaat received a lukewarm response upon its release, despite positive reviews. It earned less than Rs 10 crore on Day 1.

As per a report in Sacnilk, Jaat earned Rs 9.5 crore at the box office in India. It had an overall 14.28% Hindi occupancy on Thursday, April 10. Night shows had the maximum occupancy of 18.47%, while morning shows had the lowest occupancy of 9.56%.

Jaat, directed by Telugu director Gopichand Malineni, is giving a tough competition to Salman Khan's Sikandar. The latter earned only Rs 71 lakh in India on its twelfth day of its release.

The Sunny Deol-starrer might see a drop in its numbers on Friday but the collections is likely to surge around the weekend if there is a positive word of mouth.
