While Dino Morea made his Bollywood debut in 1999, he rose to fame only after he played the role of Aditya Dhanraj in ‘Raaz’. Released in 2002, this Vikram Bhatt horror film was one of the most commercially successful films of that year. In a recent interview, the actor opened up about ‘Raaz’ and called his ex-girlfriend, Bipasha Basu, his favourite co-star.

Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, Dino Morea talked about ‘Raaz’. During the rapid-fire round, the model-turned-actor was asked to name a co-star with whom he has the best chemistry. Without missing a beat, he took Bipasha Basu’s name. He said, “Bipasha. She was in most of my movies. She has to be my favourite co-star.”

Reportedly, Dino Morea and Bipasha Basu had started dating in 1996. Before they appeared in movies, they had appeared in a print commercial. They starred in films like ‘Raaz’, Ishq Hai Tumse’, ‘Gunaah’ and ‘Rakht’ to name a few. He added that they have both moved on in their lives but still hold each other in high regard.

Speaking about ‘Raaz’, Dino Morea also said, “It was one of the biggest successes of 2002. That movie did hugely well even though we didn’t win a single award, which is very weird.” He called it the most iconic film of that era.

The ‘Raaz’ actor also spoke about the break he had taken from films in 2011. He said, “When films don’t work one after the other, you keep wondering what’s going on and that’s when I made the conscious decision to say no to any work that was really not good. And I made that decision in 2011-2012. Every offer that came to me after that was just terrible and I just said no. You just have to have faith in yourself.”

Following this break, Dino Morea started appearing in web series from 2020 onwards.
