Priyanka Chopra is currently the most sought after actress in both Bollywood and Hollywood. Her show ‘Citadel', which recently concluded on Prime Video, has yet again proved her acting mettle. But producer Suneel Darshan recently revealed that Priyanka struggled while she was learning Bollywood dance for her debut film, ‘Andaaz’. And look at how far she has come.

For the unversed, ‘Andaaz’, which also starred Lara Dutta and Akshay Kumar, was the stepping stone for Priyanka into showbiz. However, as revealed by the producer himself, she struggled to live up to the directors' expectations regarding the dance number ‘Allah Kare Dil Na Lage’. Due to this, the production was even momentarily put on hold, and the entire cast and crew headed back for Mumbai.

Around that time, Akshay’s wife, Twinkle Khanna, was expecting their first child. Hence, the producer and director gave them a break for a month. During the time, Priyanka even dedicated herself to learning the dance, and Suneel Darshan, himself enrolled her in a rigorous 45-day dance programme with renowned choreographer, Veeru Krishnan.

In an interview with ETimes, Darshan said, "Yes, this happened. And exactly around that time, Akshay Kumar’s wife Twinkle was expecting their first child and her delivery date was round the corner. Akshay suggested that we take a break, return to Mumbai and come back a month or so later. And yes, I enrolled Priyanka with Veeru Krishnan. Post that, however, it was all smooth.”
