Though Christmas has passed, talks of it remain. One of the topics being Ranbir Kapoor's cake-cutting video at the annual Kapoor Christmas luncheon. The viral video of the actor did not sit well with a resident of Mumbai, to such an extent that he filed an official complaint at the Ghatkopar police station on Wednesday.

As per PTI, the complainant Sanjay Tiwari filed the complaint via his lawyers Bombay High Court advocates, Ashish Rai and Pankaj Mishra, claiming that in the video, the actor is pouring liquor on the Christmas cake and then, setting it on fire while shouting "Jai Mata Di."

The complaint said, "In Hinduism, fire god is invoked before invoking other deities, but Ranbir and his family members deliberately used intoxicants while celebrating the festival of another religion and chanted Jai Mata Di." It further states that the complainant is accusing the entire Kapoor family of “deliberately invoking Hindu Gods and Goddesses by sprinkling intoxicating liquor on the cake and offering it to fire while celebrating any other religious festival with the intention of insulting the Sanatan Dharma there."

It alleges that it has deeply hurt the complainant's "religious sentiments."

The complainant has also asked that the actor be booked under Section 34, 295(A), 298, 500 of the Indian Penal Code. However, no First Information Report (FIR) has been registered as of now.

From the looks of it, the Kapoor family seemed to have a bash at the annual Christmas lunch. This one was more special due to the much-awaited face reveal of Ranbir and Alia's daughter Raha Kapoor to the world. As of now, the family of three has left for a New Year vacation.
