With the dawn of 2024, the Indian cricket team's schedule also looks to set in motion as it promises another action-packed season with both the men's and women's teams to be involved in riveting cricket action this year. (More Cricket News)
The men's senior cricket team reached the final of the ICC World Test Championship and the ODI World Cup in 2023 whereas the women's team beat England and Australia in the one-off Test matches comprehensively.
The men's and women's Indian cricket teams will be in various bilateral series home and away, that will include all the three formats of the game. The major highlight will the ICC WT20 that will see both sets of teams compete for the top prize.

The Indian men's cricket team last won an ICC trophy way back in 2013 under the leadership of MS Dhoni that beat England in the final to clinch the ICC Champions Trophy. The women's team have reached the final in both the ODI and T20I World Cups but have yet to win one.
In 2024, the men's team will start with the second Test against South Africa. These matches are a part of the ICC WTC cycle 2023-25. Post that, India will welcome Afghanistan for a 3-match T20I series starting January 11. However, end of the month sees them welcome Ben Stokes' England as 'BazBall' makes its way on the Indian shores starting from January 25.

Besides the international tours, Indian and foreign based cricketers will be involved in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as well as the Women's Premier League (WPL).

Following the conclusion of the IPL, the Indian men's team will head to the West Indies and USA for the T20 World Cup in June.
In July, India men's team will travel to Sri Lanka for a white-ball series and then follow it up by hosting Bangladesh and New Zealand. They will conclude with a five-match Test series against Australia with the final Test set to be held in 2025.
The women's team will travel to Bangladesh for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in September. Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will end 2024 with an away tour to Australia for a 3-match ODI series and then host the West Indies for their final assignment of 2024.
