After clinching a historic gold in equestrian team dressage on Day 3 of the 2023 Asian Games, in Hangzhou, there was more glory in store as the Indian contingent grew the medal tally to 22 on day 4. The day began with the team of Sift Kumar Samra, Ashi Chouksey and Manini Kaushik bagging silver in the shooting team event for 50m 3 Positions rifle. Then, the trio of Manu Bhaker, Rhythm Sangwan and Esha Singh clinched gold for India in the women's 25m pistol team event. Samra also bagged gold in the women's 50m 3P rifle event, with Ashi Chouksey claiming bronze. India defeat Singapore 66-46 to start their Asian Games campaign with a big win. The Indian team have two more group matches left to play against China and Mongolia.
7:15pm: Squash - India Lose To Pakistan
Mahesh Mangaonkar loses a closely fought match against Nasir Iqbal. Indian men lose the tie 1-2 to Pakistan.
7:13pm: Tennis - Rohan-Rutuja Win
Rohan Bopanna and Rutuja Bhosale set aside Shinji Hazawa and Ayano Shimizu of Japan 6-3, 6-4 in their third-round mixed doubles match.
7:07pm: Tennis - Yuki-Ankita Exit
Yuki Bhambri and Ankita Raina are knocked out from the mixed doubles event as they lose to Philippines’ Francis Alcantara and Alex Eala 4-6, 6-4, 8-10. With this, both Yuki and Ankita's Asian Games 2023 campaign ends. Yuki had earlier lost in the second round of men’s doubles with Rohan Bopanna, and Ankita was defeated in the women’s singles quarterfinal and women’s doubles second round.
6:26pm: Handball - India Draw Hong Kong
India plays out a 26-26 draw against Hong Kong in their women's preliminary round Group B match.
6:21pm: Squash - India Vs Pak At 1-1
Saurav Ghosal brings India back into the contest. He beats Muhammad Asim Khan 11-3, 11-5, 11-1 to bring the tie at 1-1 after Abhay Singh lost the opening match against Noor Zaman. India's Mahesh Mangaonkar will play the deciding match against Nasir Iqbal.

Ramkumar and Saketh have won their men's doubles match in straight sets to ensure at least a bronze medal.

Nikhat Zareen outclasses her Korean opponent Chorong Bak to post a dominant win and move to the women's 50kg quarterfinals.

Harika Dronavalli wins her final round match to finish with 6 points out of nine in the women’s individual category, while Koneru Humpy plays out a draw and ends with 5.5 points. Dronavalli ends the competition at sixth position whereas Humpy is placed eighth.

Time for the Indian men take on Pakistan in their Pool A match. Abhay Singh will start proceedings for India. He will be up against Pakistan's Noor Zaman.

The World No. 8 Indian duo of Manika and Sathiyan win the match 3-1 to advance to the round of 16.
