Vidarbha's Left-arm spinner Harsh Dubey had a historical outing on Monday, November 2, in the Ranji Trophy Round 4 match against Madhya Pradesh.
He recorded the best bowling figures for a Vidarbha bowler in Ranji Trophy history to wrap up Madhya Pradesh's first innings at 209 on the first day.
He returned figures of 9/53 and became the first Vidarbha bowler to take nine wickets in an innings. Dubey's figures are also 9th best for a bowler in Ranji Trophy's history.
Nachiket Bhute was the only other bowler to claim a wicket in the innings.

Electing to bat first in the Elite Group A Ranji Trophy match at the VCA Ground in Nagpur, Madhya Pradesh were out for 209 in 66.1 overs against a very disciplined bowling attack.
Atharv Mahajan fought it out alone with a gritty 85 as Harsh Dubey ran through MP's batting line up. Saransh Jain added 34 for MP.
Vidarbha got off to a shaky start in their first innings, going to 56-4 after 23 overs. Kumar Kartikeya was devastating with the ball, taking three wickets in the space of a couple of overs and leaving Dhruv Shorey (21*) and captain Akshay Wadkar (9*) to put on a meagre stand.
