Royals suffer a big blow in the first over as Yashasvi Jaiswal gives a simple catch to the deep square leg boundary, Mohammed Siraj cramped Jaiswal for room by bowling into his body, leading to southpaw mistiming the ball and hitting it into the hands of the fielder.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is doing what he does that i.e. taking down fast bowlers for fun. Despite losing two early wickets, Sooryavanshi has raced to 27 off just 14 balls in the powerplay and the partnership between him and Jadeja goes to 40 runs.

What a dramatic turnaround it has been for Rajasthan Royals in the powerplay. GT pushed RR on the backfoot after picking the first two wickets for just five runs but Sooryavanshi and Jadeja put on a quick-fire 61-run stand to give a successful powerplay start for RR.

Royals recovered pretty well from the initial blows as Jadeja and Sooryavanshi forged a 72-run stand for the 3rd wicket. But in the last two overs, the tide is again shifting is GT's favor as Jadeja got retired hurt for 34 followed by skipper Riyan Parag's wicket for 11. However, the young Sooryavanshi is still there and he has the ability to push the opposition on the backfoot at will.

Sooryavanshi slammed a 31-ball fifty on a two-paced Mullanpur wicket and blasted six fours and two sixes during the course of his half-century. This was his slowest fifty of this year's IPL but once which had the stamp of maturity all over it. However, RR have lost half their side and still have more than six overs left. They would want the pair of Jadeja and Sooryavanshi to bat throughout the innings to get them to a strong first innings total.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has changed gears after his fifty and is taking down GT bowlers to all parts of the ground. The 15-year-old is nearing his ton, and the range of his shots is what is making both GT bowlers and the skipper clueless about how to contain this fearless teenage prodigy. Last time he missed his century by three runs, but he again has an opportunity to reach the landmark, that too in a virtual semi-final.

It was left field call to give the last over to Rashid Khan on a wicket that was supporting pacers but it turned out to a disastrous call as Donovan Ferreira smashed Rashid Khan was four sixes to take 27 runs from the over and take GT to 214/6 in 20 overs. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi shined again with a blistering 96 off 47 balls amid falling wickets and played a vital role in taking his team to a solid first innings total.

Donovan Ferreira took Rashid Khan to cleaners by smashing for four sixes to take 27 runs from the last over and get RR to an above par total on a tricky wicket. Ferreira in a South African all-rounder, who has featured in 16 T20Is and 3 ODIs for his nation. He was traded for INR 1 crore by RR from Delhi Capitals before the ongoing season.

GT openers - Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan have got them team off to a flying start with two boundaries from both the batter. It's just one over and GT have put runs on the board. Both the batters would want to bat the entire powerplay and get their team off to a solid start in the big chase of 215 runs.

Runs are flowing in Mullanpur as Shubman Gill is playing mesmerizing shots to RR's mainstay - Jofra Archer. Gill smacks two crisp boundaries off the second over of Archer to take GT to 41 in just three overs. It seems that the wicket has eased a bit in the 2nd innings. RR need wickets or else both these batters could take the match away from them in no time.

Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill have put GT on front in the chase with a blistering powerplay. Both the batter struck boundaries for fun to all parts of the ground. GT now need 146 runs more off 84 balls and it's high-time for RR to get quick wickets or it'll be too late.

Shubman Gill smacked a sensational six to a Tushar Deshpande and followed it by two back-to-back boundaries to bring his half-century off 30 balls. The partnership between Gill and Sudharsan has also crossed the hundred run mark. It's looking like an easy chase for GT from here.

Unbelievable scenes at Mullanpur. Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan were batting like a walk in the park with the fielders disappeared from the arena. Gill was finding boundaries in almost every ball with utter ease and after a point, it became a matter of time that GT will hunt down the target with overs to spare. But an unprecedented incident cut the flow as Sai Sudharsan, after completing his fifty, got dismissed hit wicket, yet again. He did the same in the Qualifier 1 and now he loses his top hand on the bat while trying to guide Brijesh through the point region. Unfortunate end and a breather for RR. GT are still well ahead.

Washington Sundar departs for 16 off 9 balls while playing a lofted shot to Nandre Burger but it's looks too little too late for RR as GT now just need 11 runs to win from 13 balls with 7 wickets still in hand. Rahul Tewatia joins Jos Buttler in the middle.

GT 204/3 (17.5)

Rahul Tewatia hits Brijesh Kumar over his head for a six to seal the match and take Gujarat Titans into the final for a title showdown with RCB. Shubman Gill (104) was the mainstay of GT's chase and he proved it with a majestic ton to guide his team into the final at their home in Ahmedabad against the defending champions.

Gill forged a scintillating 167-run stand with opening partner Sai Sudharsan to break the back of the chase and once both the batters got out, the match was done and dusted. GT will now face RCB in the final at the gigantic Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on Sunday, May 31.

It was a par score; it was defendable. I felt after the heavy roller, it got better in the 2nd innings. In the first innings, the bowlers got some grip, and the slower ones did well. I thought 230 would have been a par score. A score around 240 would have been challenging, but we needed the openers early. It didn't happen, which became tough for us. (On the season) To sum it up in one sentence, there were many positives. We weren't supposed to qualify, given that many players were young and inexperienced, but many youngsters performed well and can only improve from here.

(On Vaibhav Sooryavanshi) I can't put it into words, there's one way where you slog and score many runs. But he doesn't slog, you could see his innings today - he calculates and plays his shots. I can't say how, but hopefully he will go on to do well in his career, do well for the Rajasthan Royals and win us a second title.

There was some confusion there but happy to get the win. We complement each other well, we understand each other very well and when we communicate we know what bowler to take down. I don't think I have seen anything, no one has seen anything like that in two matches in a row. It was all about I was in kind of in a zone, I was looking at the bolwers and see the ball, pick my spots to score the runs. That's what happens when you are batting well. We got a total, and once we got off to a start, I wanted to finish the game. We are very fortunate to have very good bowlers, Sai Kishore didn't even have a bowl today.

 (On Sudharsan's hit-wicket) I don't think I've ever seen anything. No one's seen anything like that, two matches, back to back in a row. The way he got out. I saw some video on social media that taping his hand, I think I'm going to have to do that in the next match. (You seemed calm and composed today) I think it's all about, I was in kind of a zone where I was only looking at the gaps and looking at the bowlers and looking at where I want to hit the ball. I wasn't looking to hit the ball too hard. It was just about see the ball land, see my zones and try to adjust there.
