The Japan Open 2025 is set to take place at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium from 15 July to 20 July, featuring the best shuttlers in the world competing in five Super 750 draws. The 42nd Japan Open is the 17th stop of the BWF World Tour 2025. The main draws – men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles, and mixed doubles – feature 32 players each.
The tournament has a prize pool of USD 950,000. The singles champion will be awarded USD 66,500, and the doubles winners will get USD 70,300. The runners-up will earn USD 32,300 in singles and USD 33,250 in doubles.
In addition to prize money, winners will receive 11,000 BWF points, while runners-up get 9,350 points.
India has strong representation in the tournament, with Indian shuttlers taking part in all of the draws except mixed doubles. Stars like PV Sindhu, Lakshya Sen, and Satwik-Chirag wlil take part in their respective events.
