Pranav met with an accident at the age of 16 years that caused a severe spinal cord injury, leaving him paralysed. Pranav's 'do not quit' attitude made him take the best out of his life. He started meditating. Some friends at the hospital introduced Pranav to para sports.

He started training and it paid off as he played at State, National and International level. In 2019, he bagged silver medal in Beijing Grand Prix. The para thrower's achievements include a Gold in Serbia Open 2023. Pranav also grabbed a Gold and Silver at the Tunisia Grand Prix 2022.
