Rain has been a huge factor in the Asia Cup 2023, with almost every game played in Sri Lanka getting affected by it. But one fixture that seems to be most affected is India vs Pakistan, as heavy rains on Sunday denied any play in the Super 4 encounter at Colombo as the game moved in to Reserve Day, which is on Monday. The group stage encounter between these two arch-rivals was also affected by rains as the second innings couldn't be completed and the game was a washout.

Even before a ball was even bowled, news and updates were carried about the weather around Colombo for the India vs Pakistan tie and prior to the game, the conditions were sunny and bright paving way for a full 50-over game.

However, in the midway stage of the Indian innings, an intense rain shower halted proceedings and the game went in to Reserve Day.

On Monday, the match will kick start at 3:00 PM IST with Virat Kohli and KL Rahul at the crease from 147/2 in 24.1 overs and will be a 50-over match. However, there is a possibility of rains again dampening the mood even on the Reserve Day.

As per AccuWeather, the chances of rain are 80 percent around 5 PM in Colombo.

If rains do again play spoilsport on the Reserve Day, India will be the most affected by it. Pakistan have already defeated Bangladesh in the Super 4 stage and lead the table with +1.051 NRR.

The Men In Blue are playing their first Super 4 fixture and need to win the rest of the ties (against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka) if they are to qualify for the final.
