The meeting saw the introduction of a proposal to establish a state-level Inland Waterways Authority in Uttar Pradesh, underlining the government's commitment to regional development.

Held in the grandly adorned Ram Katha Museum, featuring images of Lord Shri Ram and Lord Hanuman, the meeting commenced after CM Adityanath and his cabinet colleagues offered prayers at Hanuman Garhi temple.

Fourteen proposals were on the agenda, with the establishment of a state-level Inland Waterways Authority taking precedence. Cabinet Minister Nand Gopal Nandi expressed the historical significance, stating that the day would be inscribed in golden letters in the history of the country and the state.
