Comedian Samay Raina has expressed his regrets regarding the remarks made on his show India's Got Latent. Appearing before the Maharashtra Cyber Cell, Raina issued an apology for the remarks made on his YouTube show and assured that such a recurrence would not take place.

According to reports, Raina "admitted his mistake and apologised for whatever happened during the show" in a statement to the Maharashtra Cyber Cell.

"I feel deep regret for what I said. It happened in the flow of the show, and I had no intention of saying it. I realise that what I said was wrong," said Raina.

Raina had earlier requested to appear before the Maharashtra Cyber Cell via video call. However, Mumbai Police refused and stated that the comedian must come and record his statement in person.

Raina's now-deleted show sparked a row a few months ago after certain remarks made by Podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as, Beer Biceps.
