Four members of an inter-state narco-terror module were arrested and around eight kilograms of heroin-like substance and cash were seized in a police operation in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The operation was conducted after a tip-off that a Punjab-based narco-smuggler had arrived in the district to take a consignment of narcotics. During the operation, four persons were arrested when they were exchanging smuggled narcotics and cash among themselves.

The narcotic consignment was sent by two PoK-based terrorist handlers of LeT, who have become terrorist handlers over a period of time and were acting as launching commanders besides pushing narcotics and weapons to sustain terrorist activities in J-K.
