Iconic Chacha Chaudhary Comics Will Be Used To Create Awareness About Elections Among Children, Says ECI

The Election Commission of India has mentioned that 30,000 copies will be distributed for free and there will also be provision for lakhs of children to view them digitally. The comic will comprise 10 short stories on electoral aspects.

The Election Commission of India has announced that they will be using popular Indian comic characters like Chacha Chaudhary, Sabu, Raaka, Dhamaka Singh, Billoo and others to create awareness about elections among children. The ECI on their X handle shared glimpses of the comics that have messages for children to understand the importance of voting.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the ECI wrote, "Chacha Chaudhary, Sabu, Raaka,Dhamaka Singh, Billoo & other comic characters will now create awareness amongst children about elections. In an unique initiative, the comic book, "Chacha Chaudhary aur Chunavi Dangal", published by Pran Comics, was released by the Commission today"

Further in another post, the ECI said, ""Chacha Chaudhary ka dimag computer se tez chalta hai", and his formidable intellect will now be harnessed by SVEEP division of ECI". 

The SVEEP stands for Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation Program which is the flagship program of the Election Commission of India for voter education, spreading voter awareness and promoting voter literacy in India.

The ECI also mentioned that 30,000 copies will be distributed free and there will be provision for lakhs of children to view them digitally as well. The comic has 10 short stories on electoral aspects, said ECI.
