Eight films make up the Conjuring Universe, including three Conjuring films, three Annabelle films, The Nun, and The Curse of La Llorona. With Demián Bichir and Taissa Farmiga as a Roman Catholic priest and a nun, the prequel horror movie The Nun unfolds its spooky plot in 1952 Romania. They set out on a perilous trip together to discover a dark mystery connected to the evil Nun played by Bonnie Aaron in The Conjuring 2.

Annabelle (2014)
Before The Conjuring 2, the second film crafted within the Conjuring Universe was the prequel, Annabelle. Set in 1967 Southern California, a full 12 years after the doll's official origin, the movie recounts the tale of a young doctor and his wife. They decide to introduce the doll into their household, alongside other eerie-looking dolls, inadvertently inviting a nightmare that would engulf their lives.
The Conjuring (2013)
The film that initiated the entire franchise, The Conjuring, featured Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson in the roles of real-life paranormal investigators and ghost hunters. Their investigations, which were said to have inspired "The Amityville Horror," led them to assist the distressed Perron family in 1971, in Rhode Island.

The Curse of La Llorona (2019)
Derived from the Latin American legend of La Llorona, this spinoff from the Conjuring Universe centers around a mother in 1973 Los Angeles, who finds herself in a desperate struggle to protect her children from a malicious spirit intent on claiming them.
The Conjuring 2 (2016)
The Conjuring 2 reunites the now-famous paranormal investigators Lorraine and Ed Warren, known for their involvement in the Amityville case. It draws influence from the Enfield Poltergeist episodes in England. In this episode, which takes place in 1977, the Warrens help a family who are being tormented by an evil ghost. Contrastingly, this sequel featured The Nun, a character who would later star in her own prequel, whereas the original Conjuring movie set the way for the Annabelle series. James Wan returned once more to helm this terrifying chapter.
