United States President Donald Trump on Saturday alleged that former Democratic Party Presidents Joe Biden, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton’s administrations  ‘created’ the Jeffrey Epstein files.

“For years, it’s Epstein, over and over again. Why are we giving publicity to Files written by Obama, Crooked Hillary, Comey, Brennan, and the Losers and Criminals of the Biden Administration, who conned the World with the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, 51 “Intelligence” Agents, “THE LAPTOP FROM HELL,” and more? ” Trump posted on Truth Social.

He questioned as to why haven’t “these Radical Left Lunatics release the Epstein Files?” adding that if there was anything in there that could have hurt the MAGA Movement, why didn’t “they” use it?

The post comes against the backdrop of Trump's former White House aide Steve Bannon on Friday who said that the Republicans could lose as many as 40 House seats in the 2026 midterms over the Trump administration's handling of the Epstein files. Epstein was the financier and convicted sex offender who was charged with running a sex trafficking ring involving underage girls.

Bannon was speaking on his ‘War Room’ podcast when he claimed that Trump is losing MAGA support amid rumors about infighting in the White House. MAGA, an acronym for Make America Great Again, was a political movement integral in the electoral victory of Trump in last year’s elections.

“You’re going to lose 10 percent of the MAGA movement. If we lose 10 percent of the MAGA movement right now, we ain’t gonna … we’re gonna lose 40 seats in ’26. We’re gonna lose the president," Bannon said.

The Republicans currently hold a narrow edge in the House of Representatives, with 220 seats compared to the Democrats’ 212, while three seats remain unfilled. Meanwhile, prominent figures within the MAGA movement have begun voicing disillusionment with the Trump administration’s handling of the Epstein controversy.

According to Bannon, this sense of frustration has demoralized many of the movement’s loyalists. He suggested that, come 2028, the system would not even need to resort to underhanded tactics to sway the outcome, because the populist base that has long driven Republican victories would already feel too dispirited to rally behind their candidates.

Additionally, reports indicate that senior officials, including FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino and former intelligence chief Kash Patel, are irate with the Department of Justice—now under Pam Bondi’s leadership—over statements made about Epstein’s case.

Trump defended Bondi in his Truth Social post, saying, “They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! We’re on one Team, MAGA, and I don’t like what’s happening. We have a PERFECT Administration, THE TALK OF THE WORLD, and “selfish people” are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein.”

He added that the Trump administration has achieved more in six months than any other administration has achieved in over 100 years, and that MAGA will continue to be the administration’s “complete PRIORITY.”
