"Already 6000 children killed including my nieces and nephews. We have seen journalists and politicians turning a blind eye. Some people commented that Hamas killed your family, they blamed Hamas, but we know who killed them. We know our killers, we will never forget them. They are doing retaliation on Gaza, bombing hospitals, mosques, churches, refugee camps and schools. They don’t consider Palestinians as equal human beings, for them Palestinians are terrorists. The western media is only spreading lies. First they lied that the hospital bombings were carried out by Hamas, later they spread out the fake news that the Hamas roasted babies in oven during the attack on October 7th. There are all lies.
21 family members - my father, my cousin, my three sisters, two brothers and fourteen kids - my nieces and nephews - none of them was a militant. They were sleeping at home when they were bombed. My father was 75 years old and he was an eye-witness to every single atrocity committed by Israel on Palestine ever since its establishment. The war in 1948, the war in 1967, the war in 2008, the war in 2012, the war in 2018, the war in 2021 and the war in 2023 in which he was killed. My father was very kind and compassionate. He worked hard to build that house where we all lived.
The general perception is that Israelis are like westerners; they want to live in peace, but Palestinians are Muslims, they are savages, always want to kill Jews. They (the western media) always mention the words - Jews and Muslims. Why do they do that? This is not a war between Jews and Muslims, but this is a war between the Palestinians and the Israelis, a war between the colonised and the coloniser, the war between the occupied and the occupier. It is not even a war; it’s an onslaught, massacre, genocide.
We don’t have a problem with the Jews. We fight against Israel and the Israeli occupation. It has never been against the Jewish people. We lived together- the Jews, the Muslims and the Christians. They want it to be a war between Jews and Muslims because it is more appealing to the Western world.
The problem with the media is that they don’t give a context to this conflict. They do not talk about the military occupation; they don’t talk about the sufferings of Palestinians who are treated as second class citizens. They don’t talk about the people dying every day in Gaza due to the lack of medicines. My mother was diagnosed to have cancer in 2018. She could be cured. The survival chance of breast cancer is 87 percent in UK. Unfortunately, she was not given the permission to travel. It was kept delaying and delaying and then it was too late.
This is an answer to all those who say that everything began on 7th of October. It did not. It has always been on going against the Palestinian people. In 1948, when the Zionists came and kicked us out of our homes, there was no Hamas at all. In 1967 when the Israel occupied Gaza, West Bank and Golan heights, there was no Hamas. In West Bank when the Israeli forces killed Palestinians and grabbed their properties, there was no Hamas. So the problem has never been with the Hamas, but the problem is that we are dealing with an Israeli regime that wants to ethnically cleanse the Palestinians and to occupy their land. We know that once we leave Gaza, we will never be able to return."
