Starring Sivakarthikeyan, Siddharth, and Rakul Preet Singh, ‘Ayalaan’ released in theatres during the Pongal week. Despite clashing with a plethora of other movies on that weekend, this Tamil sci-fi film went on to perform well at the box office. Recently, the makers of the film announced its sequel and fans cannot contain their excitement.
Taking to X (formerly, Twitter), singer Venkataraman shared the official announcement of the sequel of ‘Ayalaan.’ He shared a press release and wrote, “#Ayalaan2 is happening.” The R Ravikumar directorial will see PhantomFX and KJR Studios coming together once again for the sequel. The press release mentioned that the sequel of ‘Ayalaan’ will be made on a budget of Rs 250 crores. It also mentioned that updates regarding the budget of the film will be shared with the audience.

The press release mentioned that on January 18 an agreement was signed which paved “the way for a cinematic masterpiece that promises to set new standards in Indian cinema.” The statement mentioned, “As the production gears up for Ayalaan 2, audiences can anticipate the extraordinary visual spectacle that blends the creative brilliance of Sivakarthikeyan and the directorial finesse of R. Ravikumar and the groundbreaking VFX and CGI from Phantom FX.”
While ‘Ayalaan’ clashed with movies like ‘Captain Miller’ and ‘HanuMan’, the film is steadily raking in money at the box office.
