Actor Sambhav Jain, who will be next seen in a T-series film ‘Starfish Pickle’ and has been part of movies like ‘Gully Boy’ and ‘Good Newwz’, made his debut at the Cannes Film festival and recently walked the red carpet too. In fact, he has also bagged a Hollywood film there.

Sharing his experience walking the red carpet, he said, "My experience of walking on the red carpet was beautiful, I am very grateful to get this opportunity as an artist. I didn’t know anything about the process of the Red carpet walk or about the preparations to be done before it. Funnily, being myself, I was actually going to walk the Cannes red carpet in my casual best. But just a day before I headed for the festival, my stylist friend from Delhi rented out a suit for me, saying, "Do you even have any idea how big this film festival is? You have to look like an A-Lister". I said "Theek hai, aisa koi outfit dede jisme comfortably baith ke movie dekh sakte hai". And I had the best time watching 22 international films in 12 days, and I'm walking out feeling like a new person. I'm buzzing with inspiration from international cinema. I have always seen actors like Aishwarya Rai and other celebrities at Cannes, but never thought to get this opportunity so early in my life."

Speaking about how he bagged a film at the Cannes Film Festival, he revealed, "By the end of the festival, I got finalised for a feature film with a UK based production house. I got very emotional after that as it was a dream come true. I am very grateful. Name of the film is ‘Ex Couple’ -A relationship drama (in pre-production), a feature film which will be shot in London. It is a thriller about toxic masculinity and a love triangle.

Written and to be Directed by Marc Liguori will be produced under Snake eagle productions. I am playing one of the important parts in it. It’s a character of a successful Indian actor in the UK. Very interesting. I look forward to it. Marc has directed 2 films for the Cannes film festival. One was ‘The Shoe’ in 2001 and the other was ‘The Bench’ in 2009."

It’s always good reading about him or watching his interviews or meeting him in person. One can learn a lot from him. I watched his Kennedy with the entire cast and crew and other 2000 people from all over the world at the biggest theatre in Cannes. Kennedy is a very interesting Drama and very refreshing. Its treatment is different and engaging. I loved the direction, performances and background score of the film."

He further mentioned, "I got to meet filmmakers, producers and cinema lovers from around the world, I got an opportunity to watch so many international movies. It’s always motivating and inspiring to watch world cinema with a beautiful narrative. And what else, I got a film as an actor as well. I am on cloud 9 right now, I hope I can continue with the flow and make the most of it. The Cannes film festival was very enriching for me as a person and I got to meet many beautiful artists."
