Telugu music composer Devi Sri Prasad has once again impressed music lovers by composing a hit album for Allu Arjun's film 'Pushpa: The Rise', which released in December. Prasad, also known as DSP, created music in five languages.

As films and music are crossing borders in the production aspect, DSP says he is open to collaborating with new talent from across the country.

"I have always been experimenting with new talent. Pushpa songs did well (in every language). I have to thank my lyrics writers also because the people who understood the idea and had the patience to sit with me and go through it and did many versions.

He explains why working with lyrics writers from different states was important.

"Sometimes a certain expression might not make any difference in another language and sometimes the expressions had to change. But I gave the language liberty. Hindi might have a different formation of words for the same expression. The meaning should not change. The essence of the phrase should not be lost," he says.

The music composer, who has several awards to his name, doesn't classify his collaborations based on new or old talent.

"For me the senior, junior, new or old doesn't matter as long as the idea is new. The idea has to be young, not the people. What makes the thought young, is how well versed you are with the audience. I believe in thoughts, emotions more than the equipment," says DSP.
