Aditya Roy Kapur has time and again proved that he can slip into every character effortlessly and always has tried his hands with different genres. The actor is all geared up with an exciting line of projects in 2023. His last film ‘Rashtra Kavach Om’ was a disaster at the box-office and this year would definitely give the lanky actor a chance to regain his previous hold among the audiences.
Talking about Aditya, right from his first movie ‘London Dreams’, he has always experimented with his characters. After his initial few flops, he has gone ahead to give hits like ‘Aashiqui 2’, ‘Malang’, ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, ‘Ludo’ and many more. Every film saw him in a different light which only escalated his fan base. In today’s times, he is considered one of the most loved actors of this generation.
2023 started on a high note for him, with so many project announcements. Let’s take a look at all his projects in the year and how he might end up ruling this year if all the projects end up being massively successful:
‘The Night Manager’
Aditya Roy Kapur will be stepping into the shoes of a night manager for this crime thriller, which is a remake of a British show having the same name. He will also be making his debut in the digital world. Aditya’s character looks all things mysterious, suave and edgy. After watching the trailer, it has kept everyone intrigued about this show and the character. The show is all set to release on February 17. Hrithik Roshan was initially supposed to do the film, but as fate would have it, Aditya finally got the role.
‘Gumraah’ will see Aditya play a double role for the first time in his career. This crime thriller is the remake of the 2019 Tamil hit ‘Thadam’, which was based on true events. While the makers have kept details about his character under wraps, this will again see him in a totally different character. The film was shot last year and is all ready to be released on April 7. Sidharth Malhotra was initially signed on for the film, but as fate would have it, Aditya landed up playing the lead role.
‘Metro In Dino’
The recently announced film ‘Metro In Dino’, a modern anthology, will see Aditya collaborate with his ‘Ludo’ director Anurag Basu once again. Aditya’s character in ‘Ludo’ got a lot of positive responses from the audiences and it’ll be once again a treat to see him in a contemporary drama. Aditya Roy Kapur, Anurag Basu and Pritam’s combination will surely spark the audiences on December 8. The film is a sequel to Anurag Basu’s film ‘Metro’.
