Prashanth Neel’s ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’ has been raking in moolah ever since it was released at the box office on December 22. Starring Prabhas in the lead role, the film has already outperformed Atlee Kumar’s ‘Jawan’ to be the highest-grossing opener of 2023. However, the film has not completely overpowered Shah Rukh Khan’s actioner, in terms of overall box office earnings since SRK had an advantage in the daily figures.

Nevertheless, the film has been earning in massive numbers at the domestic market, and has raced past its immediate competition, Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Dunki’, which starred Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role, and released a day prior on December 21. Even on the first day of this year, which was the film’s second Monday, ‘Salaar’ continued to perform well.

Reportedly, the film, on its Day 11, January 1, earned over Rs 15.50 crore net in India, according to early estimates. The 11-day total collection now is at Rs 360.77 crore at the domestic box office. With a recorded occupancy of 48.75 per cent on January 1, the film might witness a drop on January 2.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the overall occupancy in the Telugu market remained at 41.41 per cent, with morning shows accounting for just 25.78 per cent. On Day 10, the film had minted Rs 15.1 crore in the domestic market.

According to the film’s makers, ‘Salaar’ has collected Rs 625 crore worldwide so far, which is Rs 265 crore short of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Ranbir Kapoor-starrer ‘Animal’. In comparison to ‘Jawan’, which earned Rs 389.88 crore during its initial week in theatres, ‘Salaar’ has only earned Rs 308 crore, despite having a release in multiple languages.
