Jr NTR fans have received their New Year’s surprise. After much anticipation, the first glimpse of ‘Devara Part 1’ is here. Ever since the trailer dropped online, fans have been talking about the goosebumps they had as they watched Jr NTR in this violent avatar.
The 1:19 minute-long glimpse video opens with a shot of boats in an expansive sea. The boat has people who climb onto a ship to commit a robbery. They get on the ship and loot cargoes. The pirates use ropes to drop these shipping boxes from the ship onto their boat. After this robbery, the screen turns red. Bloodbath takes centre stage and Jr NTR enters the frame. He kills men with knives and swords swiftly.

The trailer promises a violent action watch where blood and gore will colour your screen red with almost every second frame. What’s impressive is how Jr NTR has immersed himself into the role. The action moves look smooth and it does not make him stand out. He fits in effortlessly. You get a very ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ vibe from the trailer. But as the blood bath takes centre stage, you know it will be more violent than that.
Another thing from the trailer that deserves special mention is the music. Anirudh Ravichander has worked on the music. The trailer opens with a song that captivates you. It is dark and brooding. It gives a sense of impending doom. The music contributes, rather than overpowering and that is why it works well.
