Ireland fought back in the second T20 and chased down the target of 166 runs with four wickets and two balls to spare. Curtis Campher and Harry Tector played crucial innings from the Irish side. Before that, Zimbabwe played the 2nd T20 without their full-time captain Sikandar Raza, who is handling suspension for two matches after being involved in a verbal spat with Irish players Curtis Campher and Josh Little during the first match. Little and Campher were charged with the cut of 15 percent in match fees.

Zimbabwe posted a total of 165 runs after Tinashe Kamunhukamwe provided a stable start and Ryan Burl along with Clive Madande formed an unbeaten partnership of 87 runs and helped Zimbabwe set a defendable total against Ireland.
