The 21-year-old world number one registered a 6-2, 7-6 (7/5) win in one hour and 52 minutes at Arthur Ashe Stadium, New York. This was her third Grand Slam title. She is already a two-time French Open champion (2020 and 2022). Jabeur was bidding to become the first woman from Africa to win a Grand Slam title. The 28-year-old had also been beaten in the final of Wimbledon in July.
