Keys registered a routing 6-2, 6-1 victory over Daria Saville to reach second round, where she defeated reigning Australian Open champion, Katie Boulter in the second round.
Keys defeated Boulter 6-1, 6-3 to make headlines in the women's singles circuit as the American set up a mouth-watering affair with Sofia Kenin.
As for Kenin, she started off with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Varvara Gracheva in he first round, followed by a 7-6 (5), 6-4 win over former world no 1 Victoria Azarenka in the second round.
These two have met four times with Keys leading 3-1 with their last meet being the 2025 Australian Open that saw Keys win in straight sets.
