Backed by a vociferous home crowd, the world number 2 pair ousted the Malaysian combine of Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik with a commanding 21-18, 21-14 win in the men's doubles semi-finals. They will now take on South Korea's Kang Min-hyuk and Seo Seung-jae in the title clash on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at the KD Jadhav Indoor Hall of the Indira Gandhi Stadium in the national capital.

This will be the second meeting in eight days for the two pairs. Satwik-Chirag had taken on the South Korean duo at the semi-finals of the Malaysia Open, and won the match in spectacular fashion. Down 14-20 in the second game, Satwik and Chirag had saved six game points and converted their first match point to emerge victors 21-18, 22-20. They lost the final eventually, but only just.
The Indian combine will be looking to pull off another title triumph to continue in their rich vein of form over the past 12 months, and heading into the Paris Olympics.
