Indian football icon Sunil Chhetri made his almighty comeback with a goal in the country's International friendly match against Maldives on Wednesday, March 19 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Shillong. (Match Blog | Football News)

Chhetri scored on the 76th minute when Mahesh played a low cross into the middle that the forward Farukh missed but it came recycling back to Liston who crossed it back in the six-yard area.

The veteran forward met the cross and flicked it past the Maldives goalie to score his 95th international goal.

Chhetri, 40, is fourth on the all-time top international goal-scorers in men's football with only Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) leading the way with 135.
